RECYCLING
Our recycling plant helps to dispose of thousands of used tyres every day. These tyres might otherwise be burned in incinerators or fly tipped across the countryside.
Under an EU landfill directive, both whole, as well as shredded tyres are now banned from landfill sites. Tyre Renewals works closely with the Somerset Environment Agency to ensure adherence to their regulations and guidelines, under the Environment Protection Act 1990.
Tyre Renewals aims to help the UK's scrap disposal problems by operating a comprehensive scrap collection service and offering disposal of the following types of tyre:
- Motorcycle
- Car
- Light van
- Truck
- Agricultural
- Pneumatic Forklift
Using our state of art shredding plant the scrap tyres are shredded and granulated. The granules are then sorted, to provide our customers with the correct grade to produce childrens play areas, equestrian surfaces and many other recycled products.
Our partner company Jackson Arenas specialises in equestrian flooring, using our recycled granules.
